Neuer Markt
The new market square “Neuer Markt” is located not far from the Long Stables. Even today, it gives the impression of the quality of the square's installations that were once characteristic of the inner city of Potsdam.
The horse stable was once in this location. After 1714, the riding stable was turned into a stable for carriage horses where the horses were hitched and unhitched. Functional buildings such as the smithy and storage sheds were moved behind the stable where parts of them still remain today.
