Sanssouci and Park

Back to tour

Sanssouci and Frederick the Great are two names that belong together. The Prussian monarch had his famous summer palace built in the Rococo style between 1745 and 1747. The sketches for the palace’s design were produced by the king himself, who commissioned the architect Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff to carry out his instructions.
