The Jan Bouman House, dating from 1735, is a typical gabled house in the Dutch style. It is named after the 18th-century architect Jan Bouman from Amsterdam. As Royal Prussian Master Builder, Bouman supervised the construction of the area of Potsdam known as the Dutch Quarter.
