Potsdam is a city rich in landmarks, one of them being the Brandenburg Gate. Just like in nearby Berlin, one exists here as well. In order to avoid confusion, it is called the "little" Brandenburg Gate. While it's true that it is smaller than the landmark in Berlin, it is 20 years older than its larger and world-famous counterpart.
